My husband put his through the washer and dryer (by accidentally leaving it in his pants pocket) and both times it came back fine after letting it sit for a couple of days to really dry out internally. If you happen to drop your new iPhone into the pool again, before you give up on it I suggest rinsing it really well with a bucket of lukewarm tap water, shake it out really well, and give it a few days to dry out - longer if you live somewhere humid, rather than the super-arid climate we enjoy in Arizona. The iPhone is truly amazing and I don't like being without it. This time last year I had jumped in a pool with my iPhone and it was dead. I had to wait 9 days before I was able to buya new one. The phone I had was a cheap go phone. I really love all the games that can be downloaded to the iPhone. The best part about the iPhone to me is the ability to check emails on the fly.
