Hi Craig - sorry to hear about your iPhone mishap - I'm guessing it was the pool chemicals, like chlorine, that did it in. My husband put his through the washer and dryer (by accidentally leaving it in his pants pocket) and both times it came back fine after letting it sit for a couple of days to really dry out internally.

If you happen to drop your new iPhone into the pool again, before you give up on it I suggest rinsing it really well with a bucket of lukewarm tap water, shake it out really well, and give it a few days to dry out - longer if you live somewhere humid, rather than the super-arid climate we enjoy in Arizona.

Or just get a <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003O9GB2U?ie=UTF8&tag=sunsettravel-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B003O9GB2U" rel="nofollow">Underwater Waterproof Case</a>

Great write up. The iPhone is truly amazing and I don't like being without it. This time last year I had jumped in a pool with my iPhone and it was dead. I had to wait 9 days before I was able to buya new one. The phone I had was a cheap go phone. I really love all the games that can be downloaded to the iPhone. The best part about the iPhone to me is the ability to check emails on the fly. Thanks for the information.
